To Let Yourself Go with the Flow

Hello, all!! I cannot believe it’s already 2018. Time really flies fast!!

People moving in our residence have to be 18 years old or older. This means that the time comes soon when a date of our guests’ birth can be in 2000!!

…Anyway, today let me write about a day of clean-up. Our staff members decided to cooperate, clean the house, and then hold a party!!

 

Firsthouse Nishi-Funabashi

The photo above: Firsthouse Nishi Funabashi. This is a one having a spacious living room, where you can feel a sense of openness. Also, this living room is just next to a kitchen room and a courtyard, where residents often enjoy eating and drinking with their mates.

The Sounds of the Boots (Here, let me try to tell you the scene of our cleaning, novel-like!!)

In a sunny winter morning, our staff members get together in a quiet, residential area.

They all put on black boots, hold an unfamiliar machine and start stalking on the corridor.

Apparently, they are down. Their sorrowful backs are as if they were going to a battlefield from now.

The machine, made in a far-away western country and called “polisher”, screams as if it is telling the citizen an alert, and starts crazily running around the floor. Looking at the job of the machine, our boss made a smile unconsciously.

The warriors on the battlefield keep working, never forgetting smiles and the position of the camera.

This is because, with the back-damaging work like this, nobody can tell when will be the last moment of photograph.

Meanwhile, the other warriors arrange the fields outside of the house, silently and gravely.

This is because we need to do it in winter time (Otherwise, we will suffer from hunger in the coming seasons.)

With the helps of the people living there, we manage to make the field clean and peaceful, hoping the seeds we sowed come out eventually and bear fruit in this peaceful world. (end)

Guests: “Hi, Kazuki. I realized that the floor turned to be super clean. And there were no fallen leaves outside. I bet it is thanks to building maintenance contractors!!”
Me: “No. It is not contractors. It is ME that did it!”

Guests: “Amazing!! Thank you!! Then, let’s drink!!”

 

Guests A: “Anyway, what is that machine which they are riding on? (About the photo below)”

Guests B: “No, I don’t know.

Me: “This is a horse-riding machine (the picture above).”

Guest C: “I cannot read Japanese letters, but this beer tastes good.

Guest D: “What is Happoshu? Is this the name referring to beer?”

 

The nationalities of the residents who gathered on this day are American, Australian, French, Italian, South Korean and Japanese.

Of course, there were other guests who joined just for short period of time.

I can honestly say that this multi-nationality is one of the attractive aspects for Firsthouse Nishi-Funabashi

 

The photo below shows the residents interact with their friends living in other Firsthouses.

 

 

The residence should be clean and cozy all the time.

And the place where there are interacts of people should be full of smiles.

This will be all possible with cooperation of my coworkers and residents.
